Do you know for sure if the gun is 100% like in the show? Being an earlier gun fanatic, I can conclude that:
1. The trigger guard is too close to the trigger - could probably not fit ones finger in there wearing any kind of gloved finger (a bit unrealistic and unlikely)
2. the top of the gun is too much forward compared with the grip of the gun. If it had a normal sized grip, the grip would extend beyond the furthest-back point of the top of the gun (meaning, the grip is a bit behind the gun rather than underneath it as it usually is).
3. Then again, this might be 100% true to the design in the show, that I have not seen anyway..
Almost a fav.. aalmost.

Warhammer 40,000
Macross
Ghost in the Shell
This drawing falls into the latter category. While your pencils, shading, and composition look totally flippin' awesome in this drawing, Spike looks nothing like Spike except for that smartass expression you gave him. But that's not necessarily a bad thing. Had you not mentioned this was fanart, I would have thought this was an original character of yours.
Coincidentally, I attempted a Spike fanart a couple weeks back... to say the least, I wasn't happy with the results

Very great picture though... and it does look like Spike... but not really... I think if it was colored it would look more like him though. *hint hint*
