Anyway, meheheemehemm, wrot you see is wrot you get. just a little doodle of Spike from Cowboy Bebop (coolest soundtrack and art direction ever :o) so uhm, yup! A4, about an hour, on and off. Also, absolutely no photoshoppery touch up, so what you see is wrot you get (except contrast and cropping, silly :P)

WOo hoo :) Looks real fine I think.

Do you know for sure if the gun is 100% like in the show? Being an earlier gun fanatic, I can conclude that:

1. The trigger guard is too close to the trigger - could probably not fit ones finger in there wearing any kind of gloved finger (a bit unrealistic and unlikely)

2. the top of the gun is too much forward compared with the grip of the gun. If it had a normal sized grip, the grip would extend beyond the furthest-back point of the top of the gun (meaning, the grip is a bit behind the gun rather than underneath it as it usually is).

3. Then again, this might be 100% true to the design in the show, that I have not seen anyway..

Almost a fav.. aalmost. :)

You know, fanart can be a total pain in the ass. It's either too close to the original artist's style and mimics their work too closely, or it looks absolutely nothing like the original character because the artist incorporated their own unique style to it. It's extremely difficult to maintain that balance between both, where the work completely succeeds. That's why I rarely try doing fanart^^;...

This drawing falls into the latter category. While your pencils, shading, and composition look totally flippin' awesome in this drawing, Spike looks nothing like Spike except for that smartass expression you gave him. But that's not necessarily a bad thing. Had you not mentioned this was fanart, I would have thought this was an original character of yours.

Coincidentally, I attempted a Spike fanart a couple weeks back... to say the least, I wasn't happy with the results:-X. He came off too stocky and I felt his face and hair looked too close to the original, as opposed to how I drew the rest of his body.

awesome! very nice

Doesn't look anything like Spike, but the picture itself is pure badass!

the smile... um... smirk reminds me of Spike A LOT... good job with that... along with the clothing and the pose... very Spike-like... but I think the original Spike's hair is so crazy that it's hard to actually mimick it without going overboard or too not like his own hair.

Very great picture though... and it does look like Spike... but not really... I think if it was colored it would look more like him though. *hint hint*
