I felt i wanted to keep the composition and the key elements, just update it a little. I wanted to spend the same amount of time on it too ... so that i could make a direct comparison to how my approach has changed. Obviously the original was done in biro, and essentially its the same (especially at thumbnail distance). But you really notice the difference when zoomed in.

As the original is still my most popular/known piece, i felt i really just wanted to update it, as it was getting to the point where i was actually starting to get a little embarrassed of how messy the details were. I'm still pleased with the composition of course - cos i kept it

this will probably always be my personal favourite one.

I just felt the original picture needed updating. It was a quick idea when i first did it, but anyway, all comments welcome and appreciated. The pic makes me feel ... sad, annoyed, happy, nostalgic, trapped and free. Its a weird picture for me, and it was even stranger revisting it.
